The London NHS Diagnostic Service is an innovative service available to GPs and other healthcare professionals across the Greater London area. InHealth Netcare is delivering this service on behalf of the NHS London, and provides your patients with rapid access to high quality diagnostic procedures. We will provide your patient’s scan or test within 14 working days from the referral date, with the electronic diagnostic report following two days later (if you have a secure nhs.net e-mail) or four days for a posted report. Tests/scans are conducted from 32 sites across London at both mobile and static facilities. Patients are given three alternative appointment slots and can have the procedure delivered in a location of their choice. The service has been specifically designed to assist primary care professionals in their role through practice based commissioning to achieve earlier diagnosis, and in doing so, increase patient choice. Furthermore this service supports PCT's in the attainment of the 18 weeks target (www.18weeks.nhs.uk).
